G1 Asset Management is a niche IT services company specialising the the secure disposal, data destruction and recycling of corporate and government IT assets.
G1 has established facilities in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
We are currently looking for an all-rounder who can play a key support role in our NSW facility. As such you will need to be comfortable taking responsibility and being flexible as the facility grows over time.
You will perform a wide range of tasks related to the end-to-end disposal of client IT devices (computers, laptops, servers and other IT related assets).
Typical tasks will include:
Collecting IT assets from Government & Commercial offices
Ensuring that asset collections are performed to a high level of professionalism, with friendly face-to-face communication at attention to detail.
Loading and unloading IT assets to/from the collection vehicle.
Performing data destruction tasks.
Testing devices and identifying faults or cosmetic imperfections.
Stacking, wrapping and moving pallets using a hand pallet jack.
General warehouse & logistics tasks.
Your responsibilities will include both customer-facing services (device collections) as well as back-end tasks (unloading devices, device testing and data destruction).
As such, we are looking for a candidate with excellent face-to-face communication skills, who can provide a high-level of professional service. The candidate also needs to be able to work on back-end tasks independently and with strong attention to detail.
This job requires an element of manual handling and the ability to lift moderately heavy IT equipment in and out of a vehicle.
We are seeking someone who is available to start immediately for 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday work.
The successful applicant will be employed on a casual basis with a 6 month probation. With the intention to move to full time for the right candidate.
To be suitable you MUST:
Be comfortable with professional and friendly face-to-face conversations with clients during collections.
Have excellent verbal communication skills.
Be willing to switch between customer-facing tasks and back-end logistics tasks.
Have a good general knowledge of IT hardware (Computers, Servers and General IT).
Have an Open Drivers license.
Have valid working rights in Australia - provide specifics if not a citizen or resident.
Pass a Police Check and random drug tests.
