Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Vendor to join our team at a busy seasonal location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a delightful experience for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, serving delicious treats while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean, organised workspace. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is advantageous, but full training will be provided
Must have full uk driving license and van driving experience .
Duties
Serve a variety of ice cream flavours and toppings to customers in a prompt and friendly manner
Prepare and assemble ice cream orders according to customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate POS systems efficiently
Upsell additional products such as toppings or drinks to maximise sales opportunities
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed throughout shifts
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and securing the premises
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling food products
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and transactions
Strong time management skills to serve customers efficiently during busy periods
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with kitchen operations or culinary tasks is desirable but not mandatory
Must be able to work flexible hours during the season, including weekends and evenings if required
