Job Description: IB Teacher for Environmental Systems and Societies
We are seeking an experienced IB Teacher for Environmental Systems and Societies at our Mumbai location. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The role involves implementing the International Baccalaureate curriculum, focusing on engaging students in a dynamic learning environment that fosters inquiry and critical thinking.
Qualifications and Skills: Must have strong proficiency in Environmental Systems and Societies (Mandatory skill). Proven experience with the International Baccalaureate Curriculum, ensuring alignment with global educational standards.
Solid understanding of PYP, MYP, and DP pedagogy to effectively contribute to the learning environment. Expertise in designing assessments that evaluate student understanding and promote reflective learning.
Adept at employing inquiry-based learning techniques to stimulate student curiosity and engagement. Ability to implement student-centered learning practices that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
Experience using formative assessment tools to provide ongoing feedback and support student progress. Proficiency in utilizing educational technology within an IB context to enhance the teaching and learning process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver the Environmental Systems and Societies curriculum using innovative teaching strategies that promote active learning.
Assess and monitor student progress, implementing tailored interventions as needed to support achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute interdisciplinary projects and units of inquiry.
Engage with students using student-centered learning activities that encourage exploration and critical thinking.
Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in IB education.
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to foster a supportive home-school partnership.
Contribute to a positive school culture by participating in school events and extracurricular activities.
