Hygiene Coordinator – BluSky Dental
Are you a "people person" with the persistence of a recruiter and the heart of a caregiver?
BluSky Dental is looking for a high-energy Hygiene Coordinator to join our tight-knit team. We need someone who understands that a full schedule isn't just about revenue; it’s about ensuring our patients don't fall through the cracks of their own healthcare.
The Heart of the Role: Patient Advocacy
At BluSky, we believe preventative care is the foundation of a healthy life. When you call a patient to get them back in the chair, you aren't just "filling a slot"—you are helping them avoid dental emergencies, catch systemic health issues early, and stay on track with their wellness goals.
The Reality of the Role: Let’s be direct: This is a high-volume outreach position. You will spend the majority of your day on the phone. Think of this as a "Patient Advocate" role with a sales mindset. You won't just be waiting for the phone to ring; you will be proactively calling, texting, and emailing our community to ensure they get the care they need.
Your Primary Focus
Active Outbound Calling: Spending a large portion of your day reaching out to patients to schedule their recare and fill last-minute openings.
Patient Education: Comfortably explaining the importance of a hygiene visit so patients understand why they shouldn't cancel.
Schedule Mastery: Playing "Tetris" with the hygiene calendar to ensure our hygienists stay productive and our patients stay seen.
Persistence with Purpose: Following up with "unscheduled" patients with a friendly, helpful attitude until they are back on the books.
What You Need to Succeed
Phone Stamina & Empathy: You enjoy talking to people and can pivot from a "sales" mindset to a "caregiving" mindset in a single breath.
Experience: Previous dental front-office experience is ideal, but a proven track record in outbound calling or inside sales is even more important.
Team Player Mentality: We are a local business, not a corporation. We need someone who takes ownership of their desk and supports the clinical team.
Self-Motivation: You see an empty slot in the schedule as a patient who is missing out on care, and you’re driven to fix it.
