Overview:
Hydraulic Cylinder Technician (Heavy Equipment Shop)
Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.
Work Local- Work Sureway!
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
Location: Shop: +175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:
Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Valid Driver’s License
Pre-employment:
Drug and ******* testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Fitness to Work Assessment
Hydraulic Cylinder Technician Qualifications:
Journeyperson Millwright or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET), may be considered a transferable skill
Machining experience required is an asset
Hydraulic experience required
Minimum 2-years’ experience working on a Cylinder Bench – Disassembling, Inspecting, Honing, Repairing and Re-Assembling Hydraulic Cylinders
All aspects of working on hydraulic cylinder and accumulators
Ability to read outside and inside micrometers and bore gauges
Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
