HVAC Install Apprentice

Position Summary
As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you will work under the direction of a licensed HVAC Technician to learn and assist in the installation, maintenance, and basic service of residential HVAC systems. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to build a long-term career in the skilled trades.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed HVAC Technician, you will:
Assist with installing HVAC systems in residential homes according to company standards, safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications
Support proper installation of ductwork, equipment, and related components
Perform basic HVAC duct cleaning tasks under direction of a lead technician as needed
Assist with electrical hook-ups, gas line connections, and venting systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites
Communicate professionally with customers and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Properly document job notes, materials used, and job progress according to company procedures
Help maintain tools, parts inventory, and company-issued vehicle cleanliness and organization
Follow all applicable codes, safety standards, and company policies at all times
Stay open to ongoing training and development on new HVAC technologies and equipment
Role Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Strong math skills for measurements and layout work
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Strong communication and active listening skills
Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
Strong work ethic and a desire to learn the HVAC trade
Preferred Qualifications
Recent graduate of a vocational or trade school HVAC program
EPA Certification
1+ year of HVAC or construction-related experience
