Job Description

Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and near misses.
Ensuring all personnel have the required safety training and equipment.
Investigating accidents and incidents and providing recommendations for prevention.
Support, coach, and mentor functional and operational line management and key stakeholders to successfully implement HSE requirements into their day-to-day activities.
Writing and maintaining the documentation and implementation of quality procedures and records
Incident and injury management, including coordinating medical appointments and attending as required.
Drive continuous improvement in and quality and safety.
Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality about Company information.
Ensure adherence to all of Sika Australia’s Safety Policies and Procedures
Ensure the integrated Sika Management System (SMS) complies with the requirements of ISO-14001, ISO-+001 and ISO-45001 and other relevant legislations and standards.
Maintain electronic safety records such as; Hazard Reporting, Incident Reports, Claims, Risk Assessments, Audit Compliance, Health monitoring and medical information.
Assist the National HSE Manager as required with any relevant duties

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Australian market and a formal qualification of Cert IV in Health and Safety.
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant ISO Standards, Codes of Practice, and Statutory and Legal Requirements.
Proven experience in planning, executing, conducting, and closing out audits.
Applied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools.
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, plan, and execute improvement projects.
Resilience and strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Office 365 software.
Current driver's license.
