Job Requirements

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our healthcare facility. As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring the cleanliness of all bedrooms, public areas, and offices. Your primary objective will be to monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all areas within the hospital.
• Plan and manage the housekeeping staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Monitor housekeeping activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and support for housekeeping services.
• Ensure the availability and appropriate use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, track usage, and place orders for replenishment as needed.
• Develop and implement infection control procedures and practices to minimize the spread of pathogens and maintain a safe environment.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness and housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new developments in housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, including performance metrics, quality audits, and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any repair or maintenance needs related to housekeeping and cleanliness.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Facility Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or a similar role in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
• In-depth knowledge of housekeeping principles, techniques, and best practices, especially in a healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools, as well as their safe handling and usage.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and practices in a healthcare setting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Proficiency in using housekeeping management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
