Housekeeping Houseperson
Job Description
The House Person supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness and organization of public areas, assisting room attendants, and ensuring the overall presentation of the hotel meets brand and guest expectations. This role is essential in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house spaces
Assist Room Attendants with tasks such as removing trash, delivering linens, and restocking supplies
Transport clean and soiled linens to and from laundry areas
Ensure housekeeping closets, carts, and storage areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Respond promptly to guest and housekeeping requests (e.g., extra towels, amenities, rollaway beds)
Support deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by management
Maintain cleanliness of exterior entryways and assist with basic grounds upkeep as needed
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items according to hotel procedures
Follow all safety, sanitation, and brand standards
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
Ability to push/pull carts and equipment throughout the shift
Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and detergents
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
