Key Duties:
• Operate cash register and process payments (money, cheques, credit/debit cards)
• Scan items and tabulate total payment for goods/services
• Receive payment and reconcile daily/shift totals with sales
• Suggestive selling to enhance customer experience
• Stock shelves and maintain clean counter areas
• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
• Accept reservations and take-out orders
• Wrap or bag merchandise
• Calculate foreign currency exchange
• Monitor entrances/exits and request proof of payment when necessary
• Participate in promotional activities
• Verify age for lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco sales

Security and Safety Requirements:

Qualifications:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Computer and technology knowledge
• Experience with electronic cash register, Interac machine, and price scanner
