Job Description
Zydus Lifesciences is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Pharmacist to join our team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications as per physicians’ prescriptions, managing patient drug therapies, and providing essential health and wellness screenings. As part of Zydus Lifesciences, the Hospital Pharmacist will also perform immunizations and various medical services, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards governing pharmaceutical practice.
As a Hospital Pharmacist at Zydus Lifesciences, you will work closely with healthcare providers to offer critical support to patients. Your role will ensure that medications are safely prepared, administered, and monitored to achieve the best patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and managing the pharmacy's operations effectively.
Responsibilities
• Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safe and effective use of medications at Zydus Lifesciences.
• Monitor customers’ drug therapies, advise on interventions, and provide information on potential side effects to ensure safe patient care.
• Instruct customers on how and when to take prescribed medications to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Conduct health and wellness screenings, including blood pressure, temperature measurements, and blood sugar level checks.
• Provide immunizations and other medical services to patients, as part of Zydus Lifesciences' commitment to health and wellness.
• Maintain accurate customer records, ensuring that all data related to medications, dosages, and interventions are up to date.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment in the pharmacy, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.
• Complete operational requirements of the pharmacy, such as verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, and managing the pharmacy’s inventory.
• Adhere to applicable legal rules and regulations governing pharmaceutical practice, ensuring compliance with state and national laws.
• Perform other administrative tasks as required, supporting the smooth functioning of the pharmacy at Zydus Lifesciences.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology from a recognized institution.
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably at Zydus Lifesciences.
• Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in India.
• Detailed knowledge of dosage requirements, pharmaceutical brands, and chemical compounds.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly to patients.
• Proficiency in MS Office and pharmacy management software to maintain accurate records and manage daily operations.
• Ability to follow legal and regulatory guidelines governing the pharmaceutical industry.
