Horizontal Drill Driver TE ARATIKA INFRASTRUCTURE

Te Aratika is looking for an experienced Horizontal Drill Driver to join our crew. If you’ve worked with HDD, love precision work, and rate yourself as someone who gets the job done safely and efficiently, you will fit right in.


What you’ll be doing:

Operating and driving horizontal directional drills (HDD)
Supporting drilling operations, locating, and civil works as required
Daily machine checks, maintenance, and safe operation
Working closely with drill teams to deliver accurate, high-quality installs
Upholding our values – whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, manaakitanga – in your everyday mahi

What we’re looking for

Class 4 licence – advantageous
Experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) or similar
Strong understanding of underground utilities (power, telecommunications, water)
Experience operating HDD and/or locating systems (e.g., Ditch Witch or similar)
Ability to read and interpret drilling plans, utility maps, and as-builts
Physical stamina for manual labour tasks
Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
Able to pass pre-employment checks (drug/alcohol & medical)
