Qualifications and Skills:
1-4 years of experience as a Home Health Coder
Proficiency in home health and medical coding
Knowledge of Home Health Care (HHC) coding standards
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Certification in medical coding is Mandatory.

Coding Certifications:
Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D)
Board Certified Home Health Coder (BCHH-C)
OASIS Review Certifications:
Home Care Clinical Specialist – OASIS (HCS-O)
Certification for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C)
Certified OASIS Quality Specialist (COQS)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or any coding certification with at least 1 year of Home Health coding experience (Level 2 – Primary OASIS / Level 3 – Extended OASIS with Plan of Care)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assign diagnostic codes for home health episodes
Review medical records to ensure coding accuracy
Adhere to coding guidelines and regulations
Collaborate with healthcare providers for coding clarification
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
