Join our supportive team as a proactive and professional Business Partner - Procurement, with experience in procurement contexts and a proven ability to foster strong partnerships within the public sector.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement processes, supporting the Senior Business Partners, nurturing collaborative relationships, and ensuring ongoing enhancements.

As a trusted Business Partner, you will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with overarching objectives. You will work with the Senior Business Partners to develop and implement sourcing strategies, policies, quality, and supplier relationships to achieve the purpose and objectives of our Kaupapa (Strategy).

Examples of types of work you could expect are:

Assisting with tender opportunities and administration
Looking after the procurement team in-box and responding/triaging responses
Taking minutes in moderation meetings
Analysing market trends and data to inform procurement decisions and identify opportunities.
Assisting with reporting: OIA's, PQ's, reports for our annual review and select committees.
Continuous improvement initiatives such as:
Resource Squad activities
Creating webpages to promote our processes, tools and resources
Back-up for the contract management system

You must:

have experience in a public service/government context
be confident using the Microsoft office suite of applications.
It would be nice if you had:

experience in procurement contexts, with a proven track record of supporting procurement activities and a procurement team
have or studying towards a relevant procurement qualification, such as CIPS.
analytical mindset, skilled in utilising data to drive informed decision-making.
willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges, combined with a positive attitude.
The expected appointing range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 depending on skills and experience.
