Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heritage Carpenter to join our team. This role involves working on restoration, renovation, and custom woodworking projects that preserve historical structures and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional carpentry techniques, woodworking, and construction, with an emphasis on heritage preservation. The Heritage Carpenter will be responsible for executing precise craftsmanship using various tools and methods to ensure the integrity and authenticity of each project. Responsibilities
Perform restoration work on historic buildings, including woodwork, siding, painting
Utilize hand tools, power tools safely and effectively.
Handle heavy lifting safely during material movement or assembly tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or construction with a focus on heritage or restoration projects preferred.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools and other relevant equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to craftsmanship quality standards.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various project requirements.
Valid certifications or licenses related to carpentry or construction are advantageous but not mandatory.
