Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hematology Section Head to oversee our Hematology department and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, analyzing medical history, interpreting test results, and developing treatment plans for patients with hematologic disorders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hematology department and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Conduct physical examinations, review medical histories, and interpret test results to diagnose hematologic disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with hematologic disorders, in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, meetings, and conferences to discuss patient care plans and treatment options.
• Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Supervise and mentor Hematology department staff, including Hematology technologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Develop and maintain Hematology policies and procedures, and ensure their compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in research activities and clinical trials related to hematologic disorders.
Requirements:
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Hematology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Hematology leadership role.
• Expertise in conducting physical examinations, interpreting test results, and developing treatment plans for patients with hematologic disorders.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Research experience and a track record of publications in the field of Hematology.
