Helper – Fabrication Department
Job Summary
The Helper in the Fabrication Department is an essential support role responsible for assisting with daily operations on the shop floor. This entry-level position requires a willingness to learn, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
Follow written and verbal instructions to support fabrication tasks.
Learn and develop basic knowledge of fabrication shop operations.
Clean and maintain organization in the Fabrication Shop.
Operate power tools and equipment under supervision.
Assist with material handling using forklifts and overhead cranes.
Perform tasks that may require working from ladders.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Support team goals by being available for overtime when production demands increase.
Work collaboratively with others and independently when needed.

Capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift and overhead crane experience or willingness to be trained.

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the shift (approximately 90%).
Frequent use of hands and arms; ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in environments with fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
Ability to safely and effectively operate welding equipment and fabrication tools.
