Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or 3rd, 4th year Apprentice Penrith

Duties included

Liaise with suppliers to order workshop stock & parts
Run the depot's workshop
Maintenance, service, and repairs of company’s heavy vehicle fleet (including plant machinery if experienced)
Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with accreditation requirements
Basic record keeping & completion of daily paperwork (i.e. writing out faults, service sheets, checking off parts against invoices etc.)
Ability to make diagnosis and repair unsupervised
Work with the National Fleet and Maintenance Operations Manager
Attend breakdowns and troubleshoot repairs on site
Skills & Experience:

Trade qualification
HC drivers’ licence is a bonus
Minimum 2 years post qualification experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic
Experience servicing & maintaining fleet vehicles
Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team oriented
