Permanent, Full-Time Position Immediate start
FIFO roster (7:7 or 8:6) Point of Hire is Perth
HR License is required
The Role
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic you will report directly to and liaise with the on-site Manager on breakdowns, on-site maintenance and servicing of our on-site fleet including crane borers, excavators, cherry pickers. Duties included but are not limited to:
Provide servicing and maintenance for medium and heavy trucks, EWP trucks, crane/borers for power line construction, earth moving and underground horizontal boring equipment.
Integrate new technology to existing structures of all plant and machinery, including component refurbishing.
Conduct performance testing on fleet vehicles and reduce equipment downtime with innovative problem solving.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.
Skills & Qualifications
Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate
5+ years experience as heavy-duty diesel fitter/mechanic is essential
Mobile plant & truck experience
Hydraulics experience highly desirable
Broad experience on Japanese, American and European trucks
Valid Australian Driver’s License - "HR" Class
Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding
Strong ability to adapt to different, environments, and workloads
Have sufficient and appropriate tools to perform the role
Must have full Australian Working Rights
