Rhynocare Healthcare is seeking highly professional, experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in various long-term and acute care facilities in the Thornbury area.

Key Responsibilities:

">
To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
">
To utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
">
To ensure timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home.
">
To ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
">
To ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensuring protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
">
To be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the residents.
">
">
Requirements:
">
">
Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
">
Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases.
">
BLS Certificate.
">
Valid First Aid & CPR.
">
Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis B.
">
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
">
Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
">
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
">
Must be able to work flexible shift times, depending on the facility; eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length.
">
Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
">
Must be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
">
Must be in compliance with the Rhynocare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy (provided for review upon hiring).
">
