Job Description
About the Role
This is a permanent position working 64 hours a fortnight (0.8FTE) within our Inpatient Unit at Wairau Hospital.
The Inpatient Unit covers a variety of medical and surgical specialties and you will be working rostered and rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday.
About Your Role
You will be part of our dedicated nursing environment with full support, assisting nursing staff in care delivery, basic patient observations, some clinical tests and monitoring, and other tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse.

About You
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
A mature outlook, the ability to get on with a wide variety of people, good IT skills, and excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a flexible and methodical manner, demonstrating honesty and reliability, and adaptability to change, use appropriate initiative and respond flexibly to service needs.
Qualifications
Year 11 NCEA level 1 English (or equivalent)
Year 11 NCEA level 1 Maths (or equivalent)
NZQA level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
