Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor ready for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable professional to join a busy team in the health sector on a 3 to 6-month contract.
Based in Takapuna, you’ll also support other sites across the North Shore and West Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a large, complex organisation that plays a vital role in community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory Health Safety standards
Support strategic objectives and health, safety, and wellness goals
Provide expert HS advice and support to staff across the organisation
Promote and enforce safe working practices and environments
Assist with incident and near-miss investigations
Identify and implement corrective actions and lessons learned
Assist with monthly reporting and regular HS inspections
Manage updates to the organisation’s COVID Safety Plan
Contribute to HS-related projects and other duties as required
To be successful, you will bring:
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within large, complex organisations or government departments
Excellent understanding of New Zealand HS legislation and standards
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems
A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting varied tasks across multiple locations
