Role Overview:
You are being hired as a Head of EXIM Operations to lead the Export-Import operations of the company. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong finance background and deep expertise in EXIM operations. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations in a fast-paced, globally connected environment, coordinating with teams, and ensuring seamless logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all export shipments, from order receipt to final delivery, coordinating with international customers and sales team
- Prepare and verify export documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin
- Manage import clearances, duty calculations, and coordination with Custom House Agents
- Handle LC (Letter of Credit) transactions, manage foreign exchange, and ensure compliance with regulations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams for shipment planning, manufacturing alignment, and reporting
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, stay updated on trade policies, and digitize EXIM processes
Qualifications Required:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent, additional certification in EXIM / Foreign Trade preferred
- Experience: 10-15 years in EXIM operations, with 3-4 years in a leadership role, prior experience in manufacturing is essential
- Skills & Attributes: High energy, finance acumen, excellent communication, modern outlook, negotiation skills, ability to multitask under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and English email communication
