Head Chef
What we are looking for:
A strong leader, invested in hands on leadership and leading by example.
Menu development and design with direct and clear communication with the Owner
Pro-active management of food and wages costs and any other KPIs as directed by management.
Oversee inventory, procurement, and cost control.
A team first approach with a passion for growing and developing chefs.
A team player, we're a small kitchen and all work together.
Bursting with passion for produce and a seasonal and local menu.
In-depth knowledge of produce and suppliers from the Northern Rivers.
Excellent communication skills and time management.
Ability to work a rotating roster.
Have a current working visa in Australia.
Who you are
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Head Chef
Premium a la carte experience from a fine dining restaurant
Ideally experience in high end wedding and events
Very strong and clear communicator across all levels
Strong passionate leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
A strong understanding of safe food handling procedures.
Self-motivated, professional, with a strong attention to detail.
Thrives working part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for great food and produce.
Well-presented and punctual.
