Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Accountant located in Chennai. The Head Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end closings, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting. The Head Accountant will also supervise and train accounting staff and ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and policies.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proven expertise in accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, preparing budgets and forecasts, and managing accounting operations
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• CPA or ACCA certification is a plus
