Job Description
We are seeking Harvesters for permanent work at our busy indoor shelf farm based in Hornby. Meadow Mushrooms are the leading producer of mushrooms in NZ and are a thriving business with strong family values. We have a team of close to 500 people from within the Canterbury region. Our Harvesters are responsible for hand picking and sorting mushrooms into appropriate grades.
The Opportunity:
Full training provided
Permanent Harvester position
7am start time
Wednesday - Sunday OR Friday - Tuesday
Finish times vary as per daily production requirements - work is until daily duties are completed
Base hourly rate + bonus - influence your take home pay!
Hourly bonus payments for kg picked above set targets
The Role:
Picking and sorting mushrooms into appropriate grades
Fast and efficient hand work, with an eye for detail
Working on your feet all day
Complying with food safety requirements
Working in a production environment
Working at heights and operating a lorry/lift
You Will Have:
A positive attitude to Health and Safety / Food Safety
Ability to lift 15kgs
Physically fit
Ability work as part of a team
Good communication skills. A reasonable level of English is required
High motivation to meet individual, team and company targets around quality and pick rate
The ability to be engaged in long term employment
