Hardware and Network Support Engineer
Role Overview:
Databytes Consulting Tech is seeking a talented Hardware and Network Support Engineer to manage, configure, and secure our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in hardware management, network configuration, and cybersecurity, ensuring seamless IT operations and excellent customer support.
Location: Awfis Coworking Space, Mission Road, Bangalore-27 (Work-from-Office)
Experience: 4 Years

Key Responsibilities
Network Configuration & Management:
• Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Sophos).
• Manage VLANs, STP, TCP/IP, and Wi-Fi networks for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot VOIP systems to ensure uninterrupted communication.
• Monitor network performance using tools to maintain high uptime.
• Quickly resolve Internet connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
Network Security:
• Install, administer, and troubleshoot firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and security tools like Proxy, Anti-virus, NAC, and DLP.
• Conduct security audits using tools such as FireMon.
• Administer VPN solutions (Palo Alto, Zscaler) to enable secure remote access.
• Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
Hardware & System Support:
• Perform hardware installations, configurations, and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and networking devices.
• Conduct remote OS installations and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
• Provide product configuration support and training to customers.
• Offer Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to resolve hardware and network issues promptly.
Cloud & Media Platforms:
• Assist in integrating cloud solutions (F5, EfficientIP) with on-premises infrastructure.
• Optimize data delivery by working with CDN and media platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper router/switch configuration.
• Proficient in configuring firewalls and conducting security audits.
• Familiarity with Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN solutions.
• Strong understanding of IPv4, Linux administration, and networking protocols.
• Experience with remote monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of Elastic Search for enhanced threat detection is a plus.
Soft Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Certifications (Preferred)
• CCNA, CCNP
