We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable part-time Handyperson who wants more than just a job. Job Description
Performing general maintenance and repairs in the hotel
Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel
Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).
Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues
Ensure all tasks are performed with urgency and in the safest manner possible
Assist in managing 3rd party contractors
Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
A strong eye for detail
Self-motivated, punctual and reliable, with a proactive approach to work
Basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY
Competent in the use of basic computer programs
Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts, including weekends
Previous Handyman Experience in a hotel or guest service environment preferred
