Full job description
Do you want to be part of Beaumont’s most-exciting place to work in the City? The Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre (BSRC) is looking for Guest Services Representative’s (GSR) to continually amplify the front reception experience! This facility features an NHL-sized ice rink, with seating for spectators, fieldhouse that can accommodate indoor soccer, lacrosse, and host events; a gymnasium that can accommodate multi-court play; climbing-wall; running/walking track; concession, multi-purpose rooms, tuck shops; and of course, an aquatic centre.

What YOU’RE Responsible for:
Interacting with facility patrons in a friendly, fast, courteous, and efficient manner
Course overrides and booking cancellations
Assist with accounting, reporting, and software maintenance and upgrades
Identify guest retention opportunities
Listening to the needs of the facility patrons, providing detailed information regarding programs, products, services, and events, and proactively addressing concerns
Processing new membership sales, point of sales transactions, and balancing the cash register
Registering patrons in recreation programs
Taking pride in every aspect of your work and performing tasks with energy and enthusiasm
Ensure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards.
Report unsafe conditions and near miss incidents promptly.
Attend regular safety meetings and promote a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned
What YOU Bring:
Previous experience with frontline customer service and cash handling
Computer skills and experience with MS Word and Outlook
First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to acquire at your own cost)
Previous experience with Intelligenz recreation software considered an asset
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and ensuring they have a great experience every time they visit
Problem solve and respond quickly to issues or concerns
Perform multiple tasks at the same time; be able to engage the customer in front of you and handle inbound calls
Able to meet the shift requirements; shifts will include daytime, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holidays
A clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector satisfactory to the City of Beaumont
What WE Offer:
An hourly wage of $18.39
Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre
Up to 29 hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required)
