Purpose:
As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision and mentorship within the Liability, Management & Restoration (LM&R) department, you will support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination, environmental monitoring, water and soil sampling of remediation and decommissioning sites.
This is a full-time position based in the designated Worley Calgary office.
Responsibilities:
Perform up to 80% various types of fieldwork including but not limited to surface water/groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil sampling, drilling, test pitting, remedial excavations, detailed site assessments (DSA) and reclamation.
Logging, texturing soils and operating various types of environmental related field equipment.
Collection of accurate field data using best practices and following standard operating procedures.
Support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination and procurement of project supplies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of environmental solutions.
Preparation and execution of technical reports.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all project activities.
Participate in fieldwork, including site inspections, sampling, and monitoring, under the supervision of senior personnel.
Keen safety awareness.
Travel as required for various field programs.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Knowledge of the fundamental requirements of environmental science, engineering, and the basic requirements of environmental field work.
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Willing to self-relocate to the designated Worley office location.
Class 5 driver’s license.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
Recognized BSc, MSc or Diploma degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related field from an accredited university or college.
May have Internship experience with environmental science or engineering firm or setting.
