Job Description
A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2026 spring semester in Phoenix, AZ, serving students across grades K-12. This contract role spans from January to June 2026 and offers a dynamic environment with caseload responsibilities in self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms. The position requires working five days a week, with 30 to 37.5 hours weekly, providing specialized instructional support to students in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Employ specialized teaching strategies to support academic and social development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation consistent with state guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Active State License in Special Education.
• Experience teaching in self-contained, resource, or special day classrooms preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students across grades K-12, including elementary, middle, and high school levels.
