Job Description
Job Purpose:
To oversee daily operations of the FMCG godown, including inventory management, dispatch coordination, team supervision, and compliance with safety standards. Ensure smooth, accurate, and timely handling of goods to support business efficiency.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate stock records through regular physical verification.
- Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) method is followed for all goods.
- Minimize stock discrepancies and pilferage.
- Goods Receipt & Dispatch:
- Supervise unloading/loading of goods.
- Ensure correct quantity and quality of received and dispatched items.
- Coordinate with logistics and sales teams for timely dispatches.
- Warehouse Organization & Safety:
- Ensure goods are stored properly and in an organized manner.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per FMCG norms.
- Implement and monitor pest control and temperature control (if applicable).
- Team Management:
- Supervise warehouse staff and laborers.
- Allocate daily work, ensure productivity and discipline.
- Provide training on safe material handling and SOPs.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain inward/outward register, stock ledger, and delivery challans.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on stock, damage, and stock movement.
- Coordinate with finance for stock audits and compliance.
• Key Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of FMCG warehousing and distribution
- Strong knowledge of stock management principles
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Inventory software like Tally/ERP)
- Leadership and team coordination
- Time management and problem-solving ability
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in warehouse conditions
• Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/godown management (preferably in FMCG)
- Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse operations
• Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
