Position Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a Godown Helper. The Godown Helper will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management and storage of goods within our warehouse facility. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:

• Receive incoming shipments of goods and verify the accuracy of the delivery.

• Inspect and record the condition of received items.

• Properly label and store incoming inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.

• Regularly conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.

• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal levels.

• Organization and Maintenance:

• Ensure that the warehouse is organized and clean at all times.

• Implement and maintain an efficient storage system to maximize space utilization.

• Conduct routine inspections of the warehouse to identify any maintenance or safety issues.

• Address any maintenance issues promptly or escalate to the appropriate personnel.

• Record Keeping:

• Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions.

• Use inventory management software or spreadsheets to accurately record inventory movements.

• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies.

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and warehouse operations.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.

• Properly handle and store hazardous materials, if applicable.

• Participate in regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors and forklift operators, to coordinate activities and ensure efficient workflow.

• Communicate effectively with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to facilitate the smooth flow of inventory.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or inventory management preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office applications and inventory management software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
