Job Purpose

To provide sound legal advice and assistance (on both a proactive and reactive basis) for Vodafone Idea Enterprise Business team, including drafting and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers and third parties, litigation support, developing and enforcing governance, communications etc.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with Indian and foreign parties;
• Preparing and responding to notices, letters etc. from a legal perspective;
• Handling important court cases or similar legal proceedings in consultation with external counsels; briefing to senior counsels on need basis;
• Driving crucial projects to closure within given timelines upon involvement with internal and external stakeholders;
• Advising internal stakeholders on various relevant legal issues;
• Handling contract lifecycle management manually and also by using digital tools;
• Updating / reporting status of prevailing legal issues to senior management;
• Guiding the internal stakeholders on the prevailing processes and practices of legal documentation;
• Reviewing existing policies and procedures of the company.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
• Sound knowledge of laws related to contracting, marketing, and intellectual property rights;
• Well experienced in contract drafting and negotiations;
• Hands on experience with court cases and arbitrations will be preferred;

Must have technical / professional qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements as the candidate will be required to interact with senior management;
• Up to date knowledge on latest developments in the legal field will be preferred;
• Network with external counsels across the country will be preferred;

10-15 years in reputed Indian business houses or MNCs
