Job Description
An established Palmerston North medical practice is looking for a General Practitioner to join its clinical team.
This is a permanent opportunity with approximately 5–8 sessions per week available, depending on the successful doctor's preference and availability.
The practice is looking for a GP who enjoys broad general practice, values continuity of care and wants to work as part of an experienced primary care team.
The Role
You'll provide comprehensive general practice care across a varied patient population, supported by experienced nursing, reception and administrative staff.
The position can be structured around the right candidate, with both employee and contractor arrangements considered.
There is also scope for doctors with particular clinical interests to incorporate these into their general practice work where appropriate.

Who We're Looking For
We welcome enquiries from GPs who hold, or are eligible to obtain, appropriate registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
This may include:
FRNZCGP-qualified GPs
Vocationally registered doctors
General registered doctors
GPs progressing through vocational training
Doctors considering a move to Palmerston North from elsewhere in New Zealand
New Zealand-trained doctors returning from overseas
Eligible overseas-trained General Practitioners
Overseas-Trained GPs
If you're currently practising overseas and considering New Zealand, you're welcome to apply even if you haven't started the MCNZ registration process.
