Looking for a genuine part-time GP opportunity?
A Napier general practice is looking for a General Practitioner to join its team on a permanent part-time basis.
The practice is ideally seeking a GP to work approximately 6 sessions per week, however there is flexibility and the number of sessions can be negotiated for the successful doctor.
This could be an excellent opportunity for a GP who wants a consistent general practice role without committing to a full working week.
About the Role
You'll provide broad general practice care to patients across different ages and stages of life, working as part of an established primary care team.
The practice is looking for someone who enjoys the variety of community general practice, values continuity of care and wants to become a regular member of the team.
The exact working days and distribution of sessions can be discussed with the successful GP.
What We're Looking For
We're less concerned about finding someone who fits a rigid schedule and more interested in finding the right GP for the practice.
Ideally, you'll be:
Available for approximately 6 sessions per week
Comfortable working across broad general practice
A strong communicator with patients and colleagues
Interested in a permanent, ongoing position
Registered and able to practise as a GP in New Zealand
If six sessions doesn't quite suit your circumstances, we'd still encourage you to get in touch. The practice is open to negotiating the number of sessions for the right GP.
Doctors with particular areas of clinical interest are also welcome, although this is not a requirement.
