About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a General MIT trained MIT to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service
Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate)
The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes
Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriate
Managing daily, weekly workload across multiple imaging platforms
Meeting patient needs within agreed triaged referral timeframes
Assisting the Senior staff with the daily workflow

We are looking forward to moving into a new department in June 2026 which will have:
2 GE APEX Revolution CTs,4 Siemens x-ray rooms, a cone beam CT, Siemens SPECT CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and MRI. We also have 3 satellite sites: Hawera, Stratford, Waitara.
