General Manager Operations - Aged Care
Job Description
A second opportunity has opened for a dynamic General Manager (VIC) to join For Purpose Aged Care.
Based at our Cheltenham Head Office and supporting homes across Northwest Victoria and Geelong, this role will help lead our growth and strengthen service delivery across the state.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the GM of Operations (VIC) is a high-level strategic leadership position within the Senior Management team. This position is ideal for someone who deeply understands the Aged Care sector and has management experience in a client-focused organisation and can lead and inspire staff.
In this role, you will be:
Acting as an effective support conduit between on-site Residential Managers, other General Managers and Support Service functions.
Leading a team of Residential Managers and supporting them to achieve their goals
Leading change accross your sites
Driving residential compliance such as Strengthened Standards, WHS and Food Safety Standards
Leading projects / Support sites throughout the regions
Consistently demonstrating and role-modelling a high performance, outcome-focused approach
Maximising occupancy levels
Maximising revenue (AN-ACC) and managing costs
Setting and sustaining a strong, valuesled culture across a multisite portfolio
Assisting with commissioning new residential aged care homes and/or integrating acquired sites into an existing portfolio
Developing and maintaining an effective, empowered and efficient team to meet the key result areas of the For Purpose Aged Care strategic plan.
What you will bring to this role:
Experience in a similar multi-site role
Residential Management experience in the aged care industry and familiarity with the regulatory framework
Detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues impacting the aged care sector
Highly developed leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to train, mentor and coach staff
Strong planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
High level interpersonal, written, presentation and negotiation skills including ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to embrace technology
Current AHPRA registration (RN) (ideal but not essential)
