Vacancy: Gas Plumbing Supervisor
Salary: Circa £45,100 - £47,800 per annum depending on experience, plus
£1,+2+ per annum for holding Industrial Commercial qualification plus
car allowance £4035 per annum
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Location: Maidenhead
About The Role
We are looking for a Gas Plumbing Supervisor. Reporting to the Head of Repairs, you’ll lead and manage the team in providing plumbing, heating repairs and annual gas safety checks to all domestic and commercial properties within our stock portfolio, ensuring that all legislative requirements are adhered to and that value for money is achieved in the delivery of works to properties and communal areas, as well as ensuring high quality installation, maintenance and repairs are carried out within our properties and for all external customers.
You will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to the team, as well as ensuring that Housing Solutions meets our landlord responsibilities. You will also be responsible for company gas safe registration and IGEM membership.
About you
As our Gas Plumbing Supervisor, you’ll have experience of leading a team of Gas Engineers and Plumbers, as well as experience of contract management, which includes sourcing and selecting a contractor to install boilers, carry out repairs and replace commercial heating and plant equipment. You’ll also need experience of conducting and analysing gas safety documentation to deem them compliant, as well as experience of conducting gas related inspections and repairs in both a domestic and commercial setting.
You’ll hold a professional qualification from the ACS National Accredited Certification Scheme which includes domestic and commercial gas fitting (including fumes investigation) as well as an unvented hot water qualification. Ideally, you will also hold the Industrial and Commercial (IC) qualification.
You’ll need to have a good level of administrative skills, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and be able to work well under pressure. You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively while taking a positive approach to solving daily work challenges.You’ll be self-motivated, able to manage time effectively and demonstrate high levels of energy and commitment.
You’ll need a flexible approach to work, able to participate in an out of hours rota, as well as a full UK driving licence and the use of a roadworthy car insured for business use.
The successful applicant will require an basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
