About The Role
Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely alongside your team members, you will be responsible for all aspects of gardening across the Thames region.
Your duties will include everything from, planting, weeding, pruning to blowing, spraying, weed eating, and general vegetation control tasks. You will ensure maintenance is top-notch, timely, and planned, while keeping things safe for the community, your team, and yourself. Typical duties will include:
Create gardens meeting client specifications, including following garden plans, sourcing necessary plants and materials, and planting according to guidelines and plant needs
Oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of designated sites within the contract
Mentor and provide guidance to trainees and other Gardeners, offering support and direction for a cohesive and efficient work environment
Maintain open communication with the Team Manager, promptly addressing and reporting any garden or planting concerns
Prioritise safety, compliance, and quality management in all aspects of garden-related activities.
Who We’re Looking For:
No prior experience? No problem! If you enjoy working outdoors and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we want to hear from you. Ideally, you’ll have:
A full, current driver’s licence (with experience driving manual vehicle)
A solid work ethic and a hands-on, can-do attitude
Knowledge of health and safety practices (or a willingness to learn)
Good communication skills, as you may interact with colleagues the wider community members
The physical fitness to handle the demands of the role including standing and bending for long periods
