Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Capital Aggregation (AIF-Focused)
Drive capital raising for the Category II AIF across:
o HNIs / UHNIs
o Family offices
o Domestic institutions
o Corporate treasuries
o Wealth platforms and AIF/PMS distributors
Build and manage a robust pipeline of investors for fund commitments
Secure anchor and large-ticket allocations aligned with fund strategy
Align fundraising efforts with fund deployment timelines and investment pipeline
2. Investor Outreach & Coverage (B2B + B2C)
B2B (Institutional):
Build relationships with:
o Family offices
o Institutions and corporate treasuries
o Other AIFs (co-investment opportunities)
Drive large-ticket allocations and strategic investor partnerships
B2C (Wealth & Distribution):
Engage with:
o Private banks
o Wealth managers
o RIAs and distribution platforms
o Direct HNI/UHNI networks
Drive capital inflow and syndication through distribution channels
3. Product Positioning & Investor Pitching
Articulate and position:
o Fund strategy and investment thesis
o Portfolio construction approach
o Deal pipeline and return potential
Tailor communication based on:
o Institutional vs wealth investors
o Risk-return expectations and allocation strategies
4. Deal Distribution & Syndication
Drive placement of unlisted and pre-IPO opportunities across investor base
Support end-to-end syndication, including:
o Sharing investment notes and collaterals
o Managing investor queries and follow-ups
o Tracking demand and allocation
Assist in price discovery and demand aggregation
Support secondary placements and down-selling to facilitate liquidity for existing investors
5. Investor Onboarding & Relationship Management
Manage end-to-end investor lifecycle:
o Initial pitch → onboarding → documentation → closure
Oversee:
o KYC and transaction execution
Act as a primary point of contact for investors
Build long-term relationships to drive repeat participation and higher wallet share
6. Internal Coordination & Deal Flow Alignment
Work closely with the investment (buy-side) team to:
o Understand deal pipeline and timelines
o Align capital raising with deployment needs
Provide real-time investor feedback on:
o Pricing
o Structures
o Sector preferences
Track fundraising progress, allocations, and closures
7. Market Intelligence & Distribution Strategy
o Investor sentiment in unlisted/pre-IPO markets
o Capital flows and fundraising trends
o Competing AIFs and alternative products
Refine targeting and distribution strategy based on insights
8. Investor Communication & Retention
Provide regular updates on:
o Portfolio performance
o Exits and liquidity events
o New investment opportunities
Maintain strong engagement to ensure investor retention and long-term relationships
9. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to:
o SEBI Category II AIF regulations
o KYC/AML norms and internal compliance processes
Maintain accurate records of:
o Investor commitments
o Documentation and transactions
o Communication trails
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• High ownership in client-facing / sales-oriented roles
• Basic understanding of capital markets, private equity, and pre-IPO investments
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building ability
• Organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
