Full-time Secretary

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) School Secretary at Oscar Adolphson Primary School, Valleyview, AB.

Successful candidate responsibilities:

Provide receptionist and clerical duties in the front office
Provide general office support to the administrator and staff of the school
Receptionist and clerical duties
Attendance and absence verification
Publish monthly newsletter, update website, manage Facebook page
Maintain office equipment, order, and distribute supplies
Manage student records and transfers
Maintain financial records & process financial transactions
Qualifications:

First Aid (preference)
Office administration diploma (preference)
Office administration experience
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Demonstrate strong organizational, human relationship and communication skills
Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, students, parents and visitors to the school
Work independently with minimal instruction or direction
excellent ability to manage work load in a busy, fast-paced environment
strong management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8:30 am 4:00 pm
Wage Rate:

$18.65/hour - $2+.67/hour depending on qualifications and experience
