Job Title: Full-time Chef
Established in 2017, The Mustang Nepalese Restaurant Bar is a top-rated eatery in Canberra, renowned for its traditional Himalayan style cooking and warm Nepalese hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order supplies.
Ensure quality control and presentation of dishes.
Discuss food preparation issues with managers and staff.
Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.
Prepare and cook food, explain hygiene regulations, and select/training staff.
Oversee kitchen operations, inventory, and cleanliness.
Requirements:
Appropriate qualifications (AQF Certificate IV or higher).
Minimum two years of work experience in indoor/outdoor catering.
Prior experience working in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OHS Standards.
Professional presentation and approach.
Passion for Nepalese and Indian cuisine.
Strong work ethic, good communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
