Position Title: Full Stack Developer (Vue/Node)
Location: Mumbai, India
Reports To: Manager, Management Information Systems & Technology (MIST)
Position Summary:
The Full Stack Developer position is responsible for developing and maintaining both the frontend and backend of web applications using modern JavaScript technologies, with a specific focus on Vue.js and Node.js. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your expertise as a well rounded web application developer will be critical to the success of our team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain web applications using Vue.js, Node.js, and other modern JavaScript technologies.
● Write, test, and debug code both frontend and backend code, ensuring software applications function reliably and efficiently.
● Work with other team members to design and implement user-friendly interfaces and high- performance backend services.
● Participate in code reviews with peers, provide and receive constructive feedback to ensure high code quality.
● Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
● Actively participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to the team's continuous improvement efforts.
● Assist with troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.
● Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current.

Required Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field ( or equivalent skill)
● Strong experience with JavaScript, including familiarity with ES6+ features.
● Strong proficiency in developing frontend applications using Vue.js, including experience with Vuex for state management, etc
● Proficiency in developing backend services using Node.js, including experience with Express.js or similar frameworks, etc
● Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), data modeling, and ORM libraries.
● Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
● Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
● Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
● Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD processes is a plus.
● Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
● Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
● Direct experience or certifications with Vue/Nuxt/Node
● Experience with JAMstack workflows (Netlify) and serverless functions (AWS lambdas)
● Experience with Native languages, iOS or Android application development and testing
● Knowledge of functional programming and other object-oriented programming paradigms

This job may operate in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax/scanner machines.
