Fashion Designer in Delhi

to collaborate with our team to create captivating and culturally rich fashion pieces. This full-time on-site role involves a comprehensive engagement with all aspects of fashion design and product development. The ideal candidate will possess strong artistic skills, a deep knowledge of textiles and fabrics, and a passion for staying ahead of fashion trends. As a Fashion Designer, you will play a pivotal role in infusing our brand with creativity, innovation, and a deep appreciation for traditional Rajasthani artistry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a brand dedicated to celebrating individual beauty and empowering individuals through fashion.

Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and design fashion collections that reflect Gaamya's vision of blending traditional Rajasthani techniques with modern aesthetics.Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, cultural influences, and historical references to inspire and inform design concepts.Create sketches, mood boards, and design presentations to communicate and visualize design ideas effectively.Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for garment construction, ensuring accuracy and feasibility for production.Engage in all processes related to product development, from initial concept to final product, ensuring high-quality and marketable designs.Work closely with pattern makers and sample machinists to oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, providing guidance and feedback throughout the development process.Collaborate with the production team to ensure that design specifications are accurately translated into final products while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and working efficiently under pressure.Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and innovations in fashion design, and integrate relevant insights into design concepts.

Requirements:

Proven experience of 1-2 years as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing original design concepts and completed projects.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.Excellent knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and embellishments, with a keen eye for quality and detail.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Self-motivated and able to work independently while adhering to project deadlines.Passion for creativity, cultural exploration, and storytelling through fashion.Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements, ability to multitask, follow deadlines, and brand guidelines.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Fashion Design or related field (preferred).
