The Front Office Executive is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, guest inquiries, and ensuring a smooth front desk operation. The role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
• Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage departments to fulfill guest requests.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update the Property Management System (PMS).
• Process guest payments and prepare bills accurately.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when required.
• Ensure the front desk and lobby are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Maintain cash float and prepare daily cashier reports.
• Assist with VIP arrivals and departures.
• Follow hotel policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Prepare daily reports, occupancy reports, and shift handover notes.
• Promote hotel services and upsell rooms and facilities whenever possible.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in hotel front office operations (freshers may be considered for trainee roles).
• Knowledge of hotel PMS (Opera, IDS, Fidelio, or similar) is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
