Front of House Manager – Yarralumla Play Station

The Yarralumla Play Station is an iconic Canberra destination, and we are building something special. With families, tourists, and regular locals visiting every day, we are looking for the right person to lead the front of house experience.

We are seeking a happy, energetic, people-loving Front of House Manager who thrives on creating great experiences and leading a team with positivity and presence.

This is a hands-on role. You will be on the floor, setting the tone, engaging with customers, and making sure every person who walks through the door feels welcome.

The Role

You will lead all front of house operations, ensuring the venue runs smoothly, the team is supported, and our customers have an exceptional experience every time.

You are the face of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading front of house operations day-to-day
Creating a warm, welcoming and positive environment for customers
Leading, training and supporting the FOH team
Jumping in on service, taking orders, making coffee, helping wherever needed
Managing busy periods with confidence and energy
Ensuring high standards across service, presentation and cleanliness
Working closely with the café and leadership team to keep everything running smoothly

You are naturally happy, energetic and love being around people
You enjoy having a chat and building relationships with customers
Strong leadership skills and lead by example
Confident in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Experience in hospitality and leading a team
A hands-on attitude where no job is too small
You bring positive energy to your team, even on busy days

The Details

Full-time position
Weekend work is essential as this is when we are busiest
Daytime hours with no split shifts
Must have full working rights in Australia
Work location: In person – Yarralumla
