Front-End Web Developer

Full job description
Actualise Design is looking for freelance and contract front-end web developers for project and overflow work. Applicants must have a strong portfolio that demonstrates their ability to code bespoke websites from scratch.

Work is available for local and remote individuals, with the possibility of full-time employment offered to proven developers.

Required skills and experience
Expert coding ability in HTML, CSS and JS
Ability to code unique interfaces that don’t rely on modifying pre-made templates
Highly skilled in accurately building front-end user interfaces that match visual mock-ups (pixel perfect development)
Highly skilled in developing responsive layouts that intuitively adapt to variable resolutions across all modern screen-based devices
Ability to develop pages that pass W3C markup validation
Expert knowhow in bug troubleshooting and rectification
Thoroughness in cross-browser testing - Ability to produce consistent front-end experiences with appropriate fallbacks where necessary
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills for exporting web optimised graphics in SVG, PNG, JPG and GIF formats where suitable
Bonus skills
CSS animation skills
Knowhow in building interactive interfaces
Experience creating EDM and email campaigns based on HTML table-based layouts and inline CSS
Administration and configuring of CMS or eCommerce platforms
Version control systems knowhow
Server configuration knowledge
