Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Front Desk Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our hotel's front desk. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the front desk operations, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed to maintain the highest standard of service and guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with the Reservations Manager to review room availability, blockages, and special requests on a daily basis.
• Monitor open and close status to maximize room revenue and implement yield management strategies.
• Ensure budget effectiveness at the front desk and work with Housekeeping and Engineering to optimize guestroom status.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback, reviewing compliments and implementing improvements where necessary.
• Supervise and train front desk staff to provide the best possible guest experience.
• Familiarize yourself with front office policies and procedures, including special rates and programs.
• Participate in morning briefings and organize afternoon hand-over briefings, disseminating information to the reception team as needed.
• Greet guests when possible and assist receptionists during busy periods.
• Report performance metrics and discuss existing problems for improvement on a regular basis.
• Conduct all duties with concern for the environment and its resources, reducing waste, reusing materials whenever possible, and recycling items that can be reused.
