Job Overview
Lady Macdonald Country Inn is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while handling various front desk and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, is detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a cozy and personalized hospitality setting.
Duties
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage room reservations, ensuring accurate bookings and availability using our reservation system.
Answer incoming phone calls and emails, responding to inquiries about room availability, local attractions, and inn amenities.
Provide guests with information about the Inn and the surrounding Canmore area, including dining and activity recommendations.
Process payments accurately and maintain daily financial records.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining guest records.
Ensure the front desk and common areas remain tidy and inviting.
Support Inn staff with day-to-day operations, contributing to smooth and seamless guest experiences.
Assist with light food preparation for the morning shift
Fold and organize laundry
Skills
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Comfortable using booking/reservation systems and basic office software.
Previous hospitality or front desk experience is an asset, especially in small hotels or B&Bs.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, dedicated team.
